As one of our locally elected councillors for Harrow, I would like to ask for your support in opposing the proposed Greenmead development on the Tesco superstore site on Station Road/Hindes Road, which is being put forward by Tesco and Notting Hill Genesis Housing Group. 

I am opposed to the development for following reasons:

• The large scale and overbearing nature of the development makes completely unsuitable for what is currently a quiet residential neighbourhood.
• The tall tower blocks will be an eyesore.
• The character of Marlborough ward and the local area will be lost.
• Local infrastructure will be even more strained.
• Proposed vehicle access to the development via Hindes Road for Tesco deliveries, customers and residents will worsen existing congestion on Hindes Road and neighbouring roads.
• It offers only limited affordable housing; particularly as Shared ownership is often not affordable in reality.

I would be grateful if you would help oppose this development to ensure it is not given planning permission.
